Ilia Kim
In 2005 Ilia Kim toured Mexico, China, Germany and Austria; she played in recitals for the most important Italian musical institutions, among these the Unione Musicale in Turin, the Società dei Concerti in Milan, the “Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli” International Piano Festival in Brescia and Bergamo, and the Arena Foundation in Verona; she has also performed as a soloist with prestigious European and American orchestras. Marked by her debut when he was only eleven years old at the Seoul Recital hall, her career became established n Europe with rigorous studies in the Hochschulen in Berlin and Hannover, at the Mozarteum in Saltsburg, at the Piano Academy in Imola, then also winning numerous international competitions such as the “Maria Canals” in Barcelona, the “George Enescu” in Bucharest, the “Città di Senigallia” and in 1994 she made her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York. The flexibility and broadness of her repertoire are also emphasised by the programme presented today at the Filarmonica Laudamo, containing- between two difficult Listziaan paraphrases from Aida and Lohengrin,- the Virginal Dream, a piano piece from Giovanni Solina's opera entitled Ellis Island and performed here for the very first time and dedicated to herself.
