«ANTOLOGIA PIRATA»
Antologia Pirata is presented as a commemoration of Pier Paolo Pasolini thirty years after his tragic death, testimony of what remains of one of the most lucid consciences of our times. “This is a polemic intrusion into the work of Pasolini the ‘polemist' to return a favour to the author from Casarsa, and, simultaneously, a favour to a season, our own, abandoned in a calm life, without starts, without redeeming issues posed, and in which the answers are ruthless. A private selection of some of the most heretical and piratical pages written by a voice that continues to call out in the desert of our discontent, that screams the free beauty of the intellect beyond the winter of our silence” ( D. Tomasello ). Derived from Pasolini's Scritti corsari and Lettere luterane, the Antologia Pirata is Dario Tomasello'sproject, starring Giovanni Boncoddo as the speaker and original music composed and played by Luciano Troja and Giancarlo Mazzù. The performance, produced in cooperation with Universiteatrali, also sees the participation of students from the Laboratorio Musicale e Teatrale of the University of Messina.
