Lieber Schumann [Dear Schumann] is the musical
project that Laura Gorna, second violin at the Orchestra
da Camera Italiana, fondatrice and the first very young
member of the recently formed EsTrio, and also one of
the most respected soloists of the new generation, created
and now presents on the 150 th anniversary of the composer's
death. A project that sees her playing with prestigious
musicians; at the Filarmonica Laudamo, for chamber music
that presents Schumann's Quartet op. 41 no. 1
with Schubert's absolute masterpiece Der Tod und
das Mädchen [Death and the maiden], with
a dialogue between herself and the sublime art of the
quartet with musicians such as Rocco Filippini, the
extraordinary cello player from the Trio di Milano,
Francesco Fiore first viola at the Rome Opera Theatre
and the Italian Chamber Music Orchestra, and, last
but non least , Salvatore Accardo. Accardo's return
to the Filarmonica, not as a soloist as in past seasons,
but playing great chamber music, that will certainly
renew the emotions legendary quartet he founded and
named.
