Ex Novo Ensemble

« Modern music enchants with the Ex Novo Ensemble. In addition to individual talent, the group is impressive for the solidity of the sound and its expressive homogeneity, resulting in profound participation, in a passion placed at the service of the piece and the composer» ( P. Ferialdi ). Radiant and eloquent, the Ex Novo Ensemble (founded in Venice in 1979 by the composer Claudio Ambrosini) has starred at premiere performances and in recordings that are already considered legendary. For the first time the guests of the Filarmonica Laudamo, they present a repertoire of German inspiration chronologically dated between the end of the 19 th century and the early 20 th century, with pieces rarely performed such as the youthful Quartetsatz by Mahler and Reger's Serenade . Eisler's Vierzehn Arten, den Reger zu beschreiben [Fourtenn ways of describing rain] is a must and provide the soundtrack for the film-documentary Regen [Rain] filmed by the Dutch director Joris Ivans in 1929 in the purest Bauhaus style.
