Ensemble Opera Prima

Priska Comploi (recorder), Matteo Fusi (viola), Daniele Caminiti (archlute, theoorbo), Francesco Saverio Pedrini (harpsichord): four young Italian musicians specialised in the Baroque repertoire at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, in Switzerland. Their meeting was marked by a shared passion for antique music resulted n the Ensemble Opera Prima, an instant success thanks to the great beauty of the sound and their perfect technique. These were the qualities that allowed the group to remain faithful to a philological musical line never sacrificing the imaginative freedom of interpretation that characterises ths ensemble's style. The members of the Opera Prima continue to pursue their activities as soloists as well as those as members of chamber music groups and orchestras, also performing with artists such as Lorin Maazel, Antonio Bernardini, and Sergio Azzolini. They have made many recordings and also appeared on radio shows for Tactus, MV-Cremona, Centaurus, Bongiovanni, RSD, Schweizer Radio 2, Österreichische Rundfunk.
