A great violinist with his splendid ‘Italian' sound, a complete musician and a refined performer, Felice Cusano has for over twenty years held the chair at the Milan Conservatory and nowadays also a consultant teacher at the Fiesole School of Music. In the course of his long career he has been a member of well-known groups such as the Sestetto Chigiano, I Virtuosi di Roma and I Solisti Italiani, with which he performed in the most important theatres in the world. As a soloist he has played with the orchestras at La Scala Theatre, RAI, Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan, the Fenice in Venicea, with the Bolzano Haydn Orchestra and many others too. He has recorded for RCA, Erato, Dynamic, and his CD of Mendelsshon's music was reviewed by the American magazine Fanfare as one of the best ever. Great modern composers, among them Walton, Bettinelli (who dedicated to him his Concerto for violin) and Galante have all expressed their respect for him. This is the first time he is the guest of the Filarmonica Laudamo as a soloist, accompanied at the piano by Paolo Pollice in un an exciting journey through music by Debussy, Lekeu, Schumann and Brahms.
