Ars Trio
The Ars Trio di Roma trained at the Trieste Trio School at the Siena ‘Chigiana Musical Academy'. Immediately after they made their debut in 2001, they won the prestigious “Premio Trio di Trieste” International Award (the first of a series of important awards), and in January 2002 they inaugurated the season at the Rome and Lazio Orchestra with Beethoven's Triple Concert conducted by Lü Jia. They then performed for Radio Rai Tre during the “Progetto Musica” review at the Quirinale, and appeared at many important concerts and festivals both in Europe and in America. The critics have been flattering about this excellent group, that always confers «to the music chosen a poetic tonality, an educated creativity and an excellent solidity» ( A. Botarelli ). Their return to the Filarmonica Laudamo, is marked by a great programme, also including the rarely played Trio op. 15 by Smetana, that Liszt described as «A confession of the soul …».
