The Vittorio Emanuele Theatre Orchestra

Frédéric Deloche
Sylvie Valayre - Giuseppe La Licata

The third event in the season is the result of cooperation with the E.A.R. Theatre in Messina and sees the Vittorio Emanuele Theatre Orchestra address an extremely refined repertoire of French 19th century music. The programme includes music by Faurè, Milhaud, the splendid Concert in G and the very special effects of Ravel’s Shéhérazade, and in the finale Pacific 231 by Honegger, a wonderful evocation of the technological power. The stars are Giuseppe La Licata, an eclectic musician, a prestigious teacher, a pianist with a vast repertoire, and the Parisian soprano Sylvie Valayre, one of the most important stars n the world of opera. This orchestra is conducted by the famous French musician Frédéric Deloche, who has held important appointments as a conductor for the Orchestre Philharmonique de Provence, the Nice Orchestra and other Italian ones such as that of the Vittorio Emanuele Theatre, which he has successfully directed on many occasions.
