Estrio
Estrio is the result of an encounter between three
young musicians: the violinist Laura Gorna, cellist
Cecilia Radic and pianist Laura Manzini, considered
among the most talented performers in the new
generation. They share a musical education at
the great Italian school directed by Salvatore
Accardo, Rocco Filippini and Bruno Canino, with
whom they have for years played chamber music,
but also their eclectic characteristics and a
desire to experiment that has led them to cooperate
with artists with different backgrounds coming
from the worlds of jazz, the theatre and dance.
They are also united by a search for an ideal
balance, addressed at originating a united artistic
experience in which however their individual charismas
can emerge. Hence the choice of their identifying
name: Èstrio, a word arising from the merging
of the note Es (mi flat in German) and awareness
of the concept of ‘estro’, (creative
impulse) hence the ardour of fantasy and imagination,
always characteristics of the feminine soul.
