Andrea Padova
Andrea Padova has imposed attention of international
critics with a victory at JSBach Internationaler
Klavierwettbewerb in 1995 and has since begun
an international career that brought him his debut
at Carnegie Hall in New York in 1998. Regular
guest of prestigious European and American (he
played in New York, Washington, Pittsburgh, Chicago,
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Montreal, Vancouver,
Mainz, Rome, Florence, Genoa, Milan), accounts
for Stradivarius. His CD devoted to Bach's Fantasie
was reported by Classic CD as one of the three
best piano discs of 1997 (along with those of
Andras Schiff and Murray Perahia). In 2005, its
dedicated disk to compositions of Busoni was greeted
with enthusiasm by the authoritative magazine
Gramophone and Crescendo, which has the highest
recognition with the Joker. With Landscape in
Motion (2006) has finally submitted both as composer
and performer, offering songs for solo piano in
a language that magically suspended between the
rigor of classical music, energy and spontaneity
of jazz music. Andrea Padua has recently received
significant recognition as an interpreter of Chopin,
which will perform the second concert at Teatro
alla Scala in October 2008.
