Claudia Caristi and Cinzia Bombara

The Liederabend is on of the highest forms of musical culture; the elected location for symbiosis between poetry and music, it is addressed at sensitive listeners, capable of perceiving the many meanings enclosed in the intonation of a canto. This concert by soprano Claudia Caristi and the pianist Cinzia Bombara could be defined as a Liederabend, since it shares its most intimate essence; however in addition to traditional German Liederabend, it also includes French, Spanish, English, Italian, American and Slav repertoires. It therefore becomes a sort of journey of remembrance through the new and the old continent; various pieces in this programme are in fact inspired either for the stories told or the melodies and rhythms, to the traditional repertoires of the countries the authors come from. Claudia Caristi in fact gracefully addresses literature for music in five languages over the past three hundred years, accompanied with rare sensitivity by her partner at the piano. Both performers achieved fame at international competitions and boast active careers in the world of music both in Italy and abroad.
