Edoardo Zosi
Edoardo Zosi is the youngest and most precocious
of young Italian talented violinists. Born in
Milan in 1988 to a family of musicians, he graduated
from the Conservatory of his city with Mauro Loguercio
and perfected his technique with Pierre Amoyal
and Sergej Krylov. In 1995 he made his debut at
the Sala Verdi in Milan with the Orchestra of
the Brescia and Bergamo Festival conducted by
Agostino Orizio; in 2003 he won the Valsesia Musica
International Competition for violin and orchestra,
where he was the youngest competitor. Another
enfant prodige, Uto Ughi, invited
him to perform at his “Omaggio a Roma”
Festival; Salvatore Accardo invited him to perform
as a soloist with the Haydn Orchestra from Trento
and Bolzano which he conducted for; Pierre Amoyal
chose him as his partner for Bach’s Concert
for two violins, with the Lausanne Camerata.
Edoardo Zosi has established many working agreements
with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre
National de France, the Beijing Philharmonic,
the Berliner Symphoniker, and he has many other
commitments for 2008. At the Filarmonica Laudamo,
in a duo with the Milanese pianist Maria Clementi,
he presents an extremely difficult programme including
not only the famous Sonata by Franck
but also Tartini’s Il trillo del diavolo,
in the virtuoso revision by Fritz Kreisler.
