The second concert presented by the E.A.R. Teatro

of a Sicilian conductor. Born in Catania in 1962,
Luigi Prestipino attended courses on choral-symphonic
conducting held by Marcel Couraud at the Pescarese
Musical Academy and in Turin, on orchestration
and conducting choirs held by Joseph Grima, as
well as a course on conducting held by Ferenc
Nagy, Hans Priem-Bergrat and Ervin Acel at the
Respighi Academy in Rome. The founder and Permanent
Conductor of the “Res Musica” Young
Chamber Music Orchestra, with which he also conducted
operas for the Teatro Bellini in Catania, he has
conducted important symphonic orchestras in Poland,
Romania and Hungary, as well as in Italy, working
with famous soloists, and was also the Permanent
Guest Conductor of the State Philharmonic Orchestra
in Oradea. He makes his debut with the Vittorio
Emanuele Theatre Orchestra with Cajkovskij’s
Fifth and Mozart’s most beloved and famous
symphony, the Symphony in G minor KV 550.
